Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi to come together for first time in thriller-mystery

Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi have now come on board for a thriller mystery. To be directed by Rumi Jaffery the film will go on floors in May this year. Read on for more details.

Indian cinema thespian Amitabh Bachchan who last graced the big screen in Sujoy Ghosh's Badla announced his next film on Thursday morning. In news that's set to get fans of both Big B and Emraan Hashmi excited the two actors have now united for a thriller mystery.

Marking their first collaboration the film will be helmed by Rumi Jaffery who has previously written films like Coolie No 1 Hero No 1 and Chalte Chalte. As a director he last directed Akshaye Khanna and Mugdha Godse in Gali Gali Chor Hai and prior to that he has films like Life Partner and God Tussi Great Ho to his credit.

Big B took to social media to announce the news and shared that with this film a long-standing commitment is now being fulfilled. He tweeted “A long standing commitment now being fulfilled .. finally to be a part of @anandpandit63's next production starring @emraanhashmi and directed by #RumiJaffery. Emraan too shared his excitement for the film in a post. Along with a photo featuring Amitabh Bachchan alongside him he wrote “Super Excited to share screen space with @srbachchan sir in @anandpandit63's next production venture directed by #RumiJaffery! Releasing on 21st February 2020. @apmpictures #APMP.”
The film is set to go on floors in May 2019 and is slated for a February 2020 release. Big B's last release Badla received rave reviews and performed well at the box office for which Big B has also been asking the film's producer Shah Rukh Khan to treat the film's cast and crew. Besides this Big B will also star in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and the actor is also set to make his Tamil debut with a bilingual film Uyarndha Manithan titled Tera Yaar Hoon Main in Hindi.
