Hrithik Roshan’s big-ticket film Super 30 based on the life of Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar will reportedly hit the screens on July 12. If true the film is set to clash with Jabariya Jodi.
The release date of Hrithik Roshan’s big-ticket film Super 30 has apparently been finalised. The biographical drama based on the life of Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar will hit the screens on July 12 claims a recent report by Bollywood Hungama. If true the film will clash with the Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer Jabariya Jodi.
A source in the report has been quoted as saying “With July 12 being finalized the film will have a clear run at the box office with competition coming in only from Jabariya Jodi. However given that both Super 30 and Jabariya Jodi cater to two very different audience bases neither film will be affected much at the box office.”
uper 30’s release date has gone through several changes in the past. The film was initially slated for a January 26 release. However owing to allegations of sexual harassment against its director Vikas Bahl last year in October the film was pushed to July 26.
A couple of days ago the film was moved again to avert clash with the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya. Announcing the same Hrithik had said on Twitter that he had taken the decision to save himself from “personal trauma and toxic mental violence.” He had also said that he did not want Super 30 to be “desecrated by yet another media circus.” For those not in the know Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel had accused Hrithik and the team Super 30 of running a PR campaign against Mental Hai Kya.
Following allegations against Bahl Super 30 will not feature any credit for director. Besides Hrithik the film also stars Mrunal Thakur Amit Sadh and Nandish Sandhu in important roles.
