Alia Bhatt might not be seen in mountaineer Arunima Sinha biopic and what makes us say that is the 26-year-old actress' quote at a recent interview. Check out what she said.
With thirteen movies and seven years deep into the industry twelve out of which were hits Alia Bhatt is B-town's strong force to reckon with in times of today. And with as many as five big projects in the pipeline she's only growing stronger.
The 26-year-old actress only recently delivered a box-office hit with Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy alongside Ranveer Singh and mesmerised the audiences with her portrayal of Safina a bold hijabi medical student. And now she is gearing up for her next release Kalank in which she is reuniting with one of her first few hits 2 States' director Abhishek Varman after five years.
She would also be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra later this year alongside her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. Then she also has Inshallah RRR Sadak 2 and Takht lined up.
Talking about her prospective projects Alia was also expected to be seen in the biopic of mountaineer Arunima Sinha. In a recent interaction with Mumbai Mirror the actress was asked about Karan Johar's multi-starrer epic period drama Takht and the status of the Arunima Sinha biopic.
The actress was quoted as saying "Yes Takht is coming up. Karan (Johar) is directing me again seven years after my debut Student of the Year and that makes it special. There is conjecture about several other films but only the ones I have mentioned have been confirmed. Of course I will always be looking for good roles and I’m in talks for other projects."
This might mean that Alia hasn't yet finalised the movie as of yet. Initially there were rumours that Kangana Ranaut was supposed to essay the role of Sinha the first female amputee to scale the Mount Everest.
In the same interview Alia was also asked how she felt about bagging a Sanjay Leela Bhansali and SS Rajamouli project at such a young age. She was quoted as saying "I don’t think my age should be seen as a barometer for success. Age is just a number. Of course I’m grateful for the films I’ve got and excited about the future. It’s also a little scary."
