Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt starrer 'Sadak 2' will go on floors in May 2019

It's been confirmed that Sadak 2 will go on floors in May 2019 by Alia Bhatt who would be starring opposite Aditya Roy Kapur Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Bhatt in the Mahesh Bhatt film.


In September last year Mahesh Bhatt's return to direction was announced with a sequel to his 1991 movie Sadak which had originally featured Pooja Bhatt and . Announcing the OG actors to be a part of the second instalment too and were also seen in the photos that broke the internet which saw the star cast sitting on a couch with the director.

In a recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama Alia Bhatt during the promotions of her next release Kalank has confirmed that she will commence shooting for Sadak 2 in May 2019. She was quoted as saying by the entertainment portal “I will start shooting next month.”

Alia Bhatt would reportedly also be lending her vocals to the soundtrack album of the movie. “I will be lending my voice for a song in Sadak 2. There is a large and important chunk of the film that we will shoot in May” she was cited as saying by CineBlitz.

It would be the first time sisters Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt would be coming together for a film. Sadak 2 is slated for a March 25 release next year.

On the film front Alia Bhatt would next be seen in Abhishek Varman's Kalank which boasts of an ensemble cast headlined by Varun Dhawan Madhuri Dixit Sanjay Dutt Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. The epic period drama set in 1945 is slated for an April 17 release.
She would then be seen opposite in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra which is scheduled to hit the theatres on December 20 2019. Next year she has as many as four big releases - Karan Johar's multi-starrer magnum opus Takht Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah SS Rajamouli's RRR and Sadak 2.
