Ajay Devgn's De De Pyaar De has been given U/A certificate and 3 visual cuts.

Ajay Devgn Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer De De Pyaar De has been given U/A certificate and 3 visual cuts. One of the cuts is of alcohol bottle which has been replaced with a flower bouquet.


CBFC or Censor Board as it is popularly known as is at it again. and starrer De De Pyaar De has been passed with 3 visual cuts and has been given a U/A certificate. According to a report in Hindustan Times the first cut comes in the first 10 minutes of the film where the actress is holding the alcohol bottle and that has been replaced with a bouquet of flowers. Similarly in the song Vaadi Sharaban which is about alcohol the visuals have been modified.

The dialogue "performance better hoti hai" which comes halfway through the film has been deleted. Two other dialogues "Manju ji ke aalu O ho ho …wahi ache hain..” and “ki yeh sab jhoot hain” have been deleted with the visuals.

In case you are wondering De De Pyaar De is not the only film that has faced Censor Board's scissors. Another major release of the week Keanu Reeves starrer John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum too has received some major cuts from CBFC. Looks like the adult certificate wasn't enough for the film to escape the cuts. The word "motherf*#ker" and middle finger gesture have been deleted.

Scenes depicting graphic violence like piercing knife in the eye and thrice in the forehead has been removed. A scene depicting chopping off a finger has been deleted as well. Halfway through the film revenge and escape fight scene involving a dog has been reduced by 50 per cent.
De De Pyaar De is a romantic comedy and is helmed by Akiv Ali and is produced by Luv Ranjan. The movie also features Jimmy Sheirgill in a pivotal role.
